The Opportunity
We are seeking a Registered Interior Designer to join our Buildings team in Denver, Colorado.
This is a hybrid role offering flexibility between in-office collaboration and remote work.
This position is ideal for an interior designer who wants more than task-based production work. We are looking for someone who wants to partner with architects, engineers, and clients, influence design outcomes, and help grow a high-performing interiors practice within a national, employee-owned firm.
Where You’ll Make an ImpactStep into high-visibility spaces where your ideas move quickly from concept to reality—and where great interiors elevate performance, brand, and experience. Your portfolio may include:
- Signature corporate facilities built from the ground up for Fortune 500 clients
- Next-generation airport terminals and expansions for regional and national aviation partners
- Headquarters, workplace environments, and mission‑critical facilities that have to perform every day
- Complex, multidisciplinary work—coordinating across teams, disciplines, and stakeholders to deliver with confidence
You’ll collaborate shoulder‑to‑shoulder with our aviation, corporate, healthcare, and federal clients to create environments that work hard and look great—blending performance, durability, brand expression, and a standout user experience.
What You’ll DoAs part of the Buildings team, you will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, including:
- Predesign, programming, and space planning
- Schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
- Developing interior design concepts that align with client goals, budgets, and schedules
- Preparing drawings, specifications, discipline reports, and presentation materials
- Researching materials, products, codes, and standards to support design solutions
- Presenting design ideas clearly and confidently to internal teams and clients
- Performing quality control reviews and participating in construction phase services, including field observations
- Collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to deliver integrated design solutions
- Provide technical guidance to junior designers
- Assign and review work for support staff
- Lead the interior design scope for projects or manage small, multidisciplinary teams
- Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture and NCIDQ certification or state registration (as applicable)
- 5+ years of experience working on commercial, corporate, aviation, or large-scale institutional projects
- Strong understanding of interior construction documentation and specifications
- Ability to think beyond finishes and furniture and contribute to overall project strategy
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
- Someone who wants to grow with the team, not just execute tasks
- Bachelor's degree in interior design from a CIDA accredited program
- Employee‑owned firm with a long‑standing national reputation
- Exposure to complex, high‑impact projects that shape how people work and travel
- A culture that values collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
- Opportunity to be a trusted partner on projects, not just a downstream resource
- Hybrid work environment that supports flexibility without sacrificing team connection
If you are an interior designer who wants to work on meaningful projects, have a voice at the table, and help shape a growing interiors practice in Denver, we’d like to talk.
