Remote Architect; Windsor

In this position, you will be based out of our Winnipeg offices with remote/hybrid work options permitted.

• Strong, hands‑on technical knowledge
• Document review and inter‑disciplinary coordination
• Develop or assist in the development of studies, programs, concepts, preliminary and final plans and specifications for projects of varying type and scale
• Prepare, review and approve drawing, specification and other documentation as required. These will range from design presentation documents to technical documents for building permit, tender and construction
• Ensure designs are developed in compliance with client program of requirements and in compliance with local codes, standards and applicable regulations
• Ensure designs are developed in accordance with AECOM processes, design and quality standards
• Lead project coordination with multi‑disciplinary teams, both internal to AECOM and external
• Interface with clients, authorities and other project participants as needed to achieve a successful project
• Work with AECOM design offices across the country, including participation in project teams and overall development of the design and technical quality of AECOM projects
• Knowledge of building systems and coordination of building systems design
• Checks own work and the work of others
• Knowledge and familiarity with building codes
• Team player with the ability to work within a team environment
• Experience in field review and contract administration

• University Degree in Architecture
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA)
