Associate Designer – Special Projects, Design Standards

Location:

Irvine, California. Remote work available.

• Design new restaurant, remodel and refresh concepts, including layout and signage.
• Lead and consult on design work for new restaurants and remodel initiatives.
• Review design and layout for remodels and new restaurants for corporate and franchise standards.
• Manage and document the design process and work streams cross‑functionally.
• Create and update design decks, signage, decor specifications and spec books.
• Update spec books with new finish guidelines, detailed drawings and design playbooks for NRO and refresh/remodel programs.
• Source and manage vendors for art, signage, furniture, finishes, ensuring quality compliance.
• Maintain vendor contacts and assess alternate finishes and suppliers.
• Present design updates and strategy to senior leaders.
• Support cost‑reduction programs by identifying alternative suppliers and running RFP processes.
• Collaborate with Construction, Operations, Marketing and other departments to align deliverables with business objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (preferred) or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in commercial or restaurant design.
• Proficiency with Sketch Up, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and
• Strong understanding of ADA compliance and brand standards.
• Strong project management, communication and collaboration skills.
• Vendor management experience.
• Attention to detail, design accuracy, creative problem‑solving and adaptability.

Salary range: $98,400 to $115,800 annually, plus bonus eligibility and benefits.
