Mackenzie has an immediate opening for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Industrial team in our Portland Office. If you’re someone who enjoys leading complex projects, building strong client relationships, mentoring younger staff, and seeing projects successfully built, we’d love to meet you!
Our team specializes in complex large-scale industrial, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and warehouse projects. These projects are fast paced, technically challenging, and highly collaborative. You’ll have the opportunity to work with our talented in-house and out-of-house consultant teams while helping deliver facilities that have a real impact on people, communities, and commerce.
The person in this role will lead projects from conceptual design through construction, can manage multiple projects, and be able to solve problems before they become expensive. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t wait for problems to appear–they see them coming and have three solutions before everyone else finishes discussing them. Applicants will have architectural experience, with project management responsibility, and be able to run meetings that actually end on time (or at least close).
Key Responsibilities:- Lead pursuit efforts at the project level which include RFP responses, scope and fee estimates, and Client interviews.
- Coordinate assembly of proposals, including coordination with consultants.
- Prepare and review client and consultant contracts.
- Provide regular communication and coordination with project team, discipline leads, and project Principal.
- Can juggle budgets, schedules, personalities, and deadlines without breaking a sweat.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact with clients and consultants.
- Coordinate design processes and facilitate meetings.
- 10 to 20+ years of architectural experience; specific or various project types.
- Architectural license is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on delivering quality design for our clients.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Bluebeam required.
- Experience working in and managing Revit and BIM workflows are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects through design development, construction documents, and contract administration phases.
Salary Range: $93,000 to $131,000
At Mackenzie, we work a hybrid office schedule; all staff work in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with an option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
