Pay Range $24.50 - $26.92 per hour
Pay rates at Syracuse University are based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the job responsibilities; the candidate’s education, training, work experience and key competencies; the university’s strategic priorities; internal peer equity; applicable federal, state, local laws, grant funding and contractual requisites; and external market analyses.

The Video Editor Associate works closely with the video production team, instructional designers, and multimedia designers in the post-production stage of course development to produce content-rich academic videos, as directed by the Postproduction Manager. They coordinate regularly with the Postproduction Manager on the status of their assigned courses.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of video editing principles, media management, effective communication strategies, and time management skills. A successful candidate should demonstrate a passion and commitment to excellence in educational media.
Education and Experience- BFA or BA in Cinema or related field (e.g., Editing/Post-Production); or three (3) or more years of video production experience in a professional environment.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Must have a fundamental understanding of video and audio editing and color correction.
- Basic technical knowledge of video codecs and transcoding for web delivery.
- Knowledge of data management, equipment compatibility, and post-production workflow.
- Understanding of basic computer network concepts, including cloud and server-based solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.

Understanding of effective multimedia integration in teaching and learning.
