About the Role:The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for producing high-quality design projects alongside senior leadership, supporting firm-wide initiatives, and helping to manage and nurture our clients. The ideal candidate will be able to balance multiple project commitments and deadlines and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within the office and with our team, clients, and external partners. Reporting to the Principal this role typically carries multiple concurrent projects and mentors one to two junior designers.

What You’ll Do- Manage multiple projects from concept through installation with on-brand designs and minimal supervision. Including mood boards, space planning, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and schedule management to ensure deadlines and expectations are met
- Produce and revise construction documentation throughout the project duration
- Lead the selection process of all FF&E and presentation documentation for client meetings
- Conduct client/trade meetings including presentations, budget and project touch bases, and job site visits to ensure proper execution of design intent and timeline
- Manage multiple projects’ schedules and budgets, including projected and actual time per design phase
- Create and maintain material schedules
- Build out scope of work, budgets, and deliverable timelines
- Cultivate relationships with external partners (contractors, subs, vendors)
- Mentors emerging designers on the team.
Required
- 4+ years of high-end residential interior design experience
- Bachelor’s in Interior Design or Architecture, or equivalent professional experience and demonstrated portfolio
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required
- Working knowledge of Studio Designer or equivalent
- Working knowledge of local building codes, permit processes, and bid sets as they apply to residential construction documentation
- Working knowledge of Mac OS (Keynote, Pages, Numbers)
- Proficient in Google Docs/Sheets/Slides and Microsoft Suite
- Strong knowledge of FF&E sourcing, specifications, ordering process, and design principles
- Strong leadership, delegation, and relationship-management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Consistently accurate and detail-oriented across all deliverables
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication, with disciplined documentation habits
- Able to manage multiple simultaneous projects, clients, and deadlines
- Anticipates issues and raises them early, follows through on commitments without prompting, and communicates status proactively to clients and the studio
Preferred
- Commercial and hospitality experience
- Custom furniture and millwork experience
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Working knowledge of Asana or similar task management software
- Working knowledge of Sketch Up or similar 3D design software
- This position is based in downtown Danville, CA – Monday through Thursday in office, Fridays work from home.
- Weekly project onsite travel within the Bay Area and occasional travel beyond
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Mileage, travel, and job-related expenses are reimbursed per studio policy.
