EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: PROJECT ARCHITECTCBLH Design is seeking a licensed Project Architect to join our team. We are looking for a self-motivated, design and detail-oriented architect who enjoys working collaboratively and is ready to take an active role in the design and delivery of projects.
Our Project Architects work closely with firm leadership, clients, consultants and project teams throughout all phases of design and construction. The position includes meaningful project responsibility, direct client interaction and opportunities to lead and coordinate projects from early design through construction administration.
This is a full-time, in-office position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:As a Project Architect, you will work collaboratively with firm leadership and project teams to design, coordinate and deliver projects from early planning through construction.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as a project team lead for the planning, design, documentation and coordination of projects through all phases of design and construction.
- Collaborate with firm leadership, clients and project teams to translate project goals, program requirements and design concepts into successful solutions.
- Coordinate architectural work with engineering consultants, specialty consultants and other design partners.
- Develop and coordinate project documentation using Autodesk Revit.
- Participate in client meetings, design presentations and project coordination meetings.
- Perform zoning, building code and accessibility research and incorporate applicable requirements into project design.
- Prepare and edit project specifications in coordination with project documents.
- Participate in Construction Administration, including review of submittals, RFIs and other construction-phase documentation.
- Conduct site visits to document existing conditions and participate in periodic construction site observations.
- Mentor and collaborate with emerging professionals as part of an integrated project team.
The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong understanding of architectural practice, technical documentation and project coordination, along with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants and internal project teams.
- 5+ years of professional architectural experience.
- Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Working knowledge of architectural detailing, building systems and engineering disciplines necessary to effectively coordinate consultant work.
- Experience with building codes, accessibility requirements, zoning regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience across all phases of architectural projects, including programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, bidding and Construction Administration.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while independently managing assigned project responsibilities.
