Open Train is hiring an AutoCAD Task Creation and Recording Specialist to support AI training through realistic computer-based drafting workflows. You will design practical AutoCAD tasks, prepare the required files and references, document the context and expected steps, and record yourself completing the work.
The role combines hands-on CAD expertise with task design and clear screen-recorded demonstrations. Tasks may draw from drafting, design, documentation, engineering, architecture, or technical drawing use cases.

Create challenging but realistic AutoCAD tasks based on practical drafting and technical documentation workflows. Prepare the project environment before recording, demonstrate the intended process clearly, and ensure each submission is complete, understandable, and aligned with project guidelines.
- Create realistic AutoCAD tasks with an appropriate level of challenge
- Prepare AutoCAD files, drawings, templates, assets, and references before recording
- Record complete and understandable workflows on your computer
- Demonstrate 2D drafting, drawing setup, layers, line weights, dimensions, blocks, layouts, viewports, title blocks, plotting, annotations, xrefs, and drawing cleanup where relevant
- Document task context, goals, steps, files, and notes
- Review recordings and documentation for completeness, clarity, realism, and guideline alignment
- Troubleshoot drawing setup, scale, plotting, file organization, and workflow completeness issues
You should have hands-on AutoCAD experience with drafting, technical drawings, layouts, annotation, dimensions, plotting, or related CAD workflows. Strong working knowledge of core AutoCAD concepts is required, along with the ability to explain a workflow clearly and create tasks that reflect realistic user behavior.

- Strong knowledge of model space, paper space, layers, line weights, blocks, dimensions, layouts, viewports, and plotting
- Ability to create realistic, appropriately challenging CAD tasks
- Ability to explain the intended workflow clearly
- Ability to prepare drawings, templates, files, assets, references, and the computer setup before recording
- B2-level English proficiency or higher
- Clear task documentation and understandable screen recordings
- High attention to detail, reliable self-direction, and consistent quality in remote contractor work
Experience in architecture, engineering, drafting, construction documentation, design, or other technical computer-based workflows can help you create authentic and useful task scenarios. The role is especially suited to contributors who can turn professional CAD processes into clear, reproducible demonstrations.
