The Project Architect is a full-time hybrid role based in Olympia, WA, with the flexibility for some work from home. This role oversees projects from concept through construction, including developing design solutions, producing detailed drawings and models, and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing construction documents, managing project schedules and deliverables, ensuring code compliance and quality standards, and participating in client meetings and presentations.
The Project Architect also supports sustainable design initiatives, contributes to design refinement, and mentors junior staff to maintain project momentum and design integrity.
- Strong foundation in Architecture, including building design, codes, and construction documentation.
- Licensed or working towards it.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools (e.g., Revit) for design, coordination, and documentation.
- Ability to manage Submittals and other construction-phase documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles and sustainable design practices.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with design and visualization software (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite) and strong technical drafting skills.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to work in a hybrid environment.
