Established in 1991, Allor Group is a Michigan-based manufacturer’s representative firm serving designers, dealerships, and end users throughout the state. With a presence in Grosse Pointe Woods and Grand Rapids, we represent a diverse portfolio of manufacturers providing commercial interior furnishings for corporate offices, higher education, healthcare, meeting and training spaces, and filing and storage applications.

Allor Group is seeking an Interior Designer to join our team in Grosse Pointe. This role works closely with our sales representatives, manufacturer partners, dealerships, designers, and clients to develop thoughtful interior solutions using the product lines we represent.

The ideal candidate combines strong design and space-planning skills with technical proficiency and an interest in commercial furnishings. This position suits someone who enjoys both the creative and technical sides of interior design and thrives in a flexible schedule and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Develop quotes, specs, space plans, furniture layouts, design concepts, and presentations
• Specify commercial furniture and interior products based on project requirements
• Prepare product quotes, specifications, and bid responses
• Produce drawings and supporting design documentation
• Coordinate FF&E selections, specifications, finishes, and product details
• Assist the sales team with product applications, pricing, and design solutions
• Collaborate with sales representatives, manufacturers, dealerships, designers, and clients throughout the project process
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accurate and detailed documentation

• Proficiency in CET, AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, or similar design and drafting software
• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field preferred
• Experience with FF&E selection, specification, and coordination
• Knowledge of commercial furniture and workplace planning standards preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and client-facing skills
• Strong interior design and space-planning skills
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and project documentation
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with corporate office, higher education, healthcare, commercial furniture, or contract interiors is a plus

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, combining in-office collaboration with work-from-home flexibility.
