Who We Are ...
Source America is searching for Accessibility Interns to work with our Ability One Programs. Accessibility Interns will work on projects designated by the accessibility team to create accessible documents. Projects will include remediating PDFs, Power Points, and Word documents Additionally interns will design and create accessible samples based on source documents for their personal portfolio.
What You Will Do ...- Review and remediate PDFs and other documents for barriers to usability and accessibility.
- Assist with the creation of internal and external document templates.
- Openness to learning document accessibility software such as Colour Contrast Analyzer and Common look PDF.
- Actively participate in Source America’s Everyday Performance Management program.
- Perform additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
The salary for this position falls in a range between $20.00 - $25.00 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.
What You Must Have ...- Completed the LaunchIT (Information Technology) program course.
- Studying for the Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Concepts
- Ability to effectively collaborate with individuals and teams across a 400+ organization with a national footprint
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Capable of working independently and solving problems under time pressure
- Commitment to fulfilling Source America's mission, vision, and values

Our organization offers both a hybrid work model - where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek, as well as a fully remote work model, depending on the job requirements and one’s proximity to one of our offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or the Washington, DC-area.
