Temporary Senior Designer

THE JOB

A senior-level designer, highly skilled in craft, systems thinking, and brand building, with the ability to lead projects.

How you think: You're comfortable engaging with the strategic dimension of the work and channeling brand strategy into a creative solution. You ideate brand ideas and design solutions that are relevant to consumers, culture, and business goals, and you push the design team forward with strong creative ideas.

How you work with others: You build collaborative relationships with your design, account, and strategy partners. You create systemic solutions and frameworks for brands, experiences, products, and services, not just one-off deliverables.

How you communicate: You communicate design rationale and use storytelling to bring partners and stakeholders along with the thinking. You present formally to internal teams and clients in a clear and compelling way.

What you own: Excellent craft and detail. Nothing gets past you. You lead the design output on a project and hold a strong point of view on the approach.

How you own your work: You manage your own workload and are great at organizing and prioritizing your own work and others'. You lead small to medium-sized projects and work streams on larger ones, and you collaborate with account and project management teams to work through process challenges as they come up.

You mentor designers through informal, ad-hoc advice and regular check-ins, and provide peer review input.

You're capable of shaping and coordinating workshops and brainstorms involving other designers or clients.

Bachelor's degree in Design, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a creative role.

Experience with Motion Design.

A minimum of 10+ years in a creative-focused agency or in-house at a leading brand.

Owen operates on a hybrid work model, with in-office collaboration Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

Using standard office equipment, computers, and related technology.

Certain activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.

Bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds.

Travel is not expected for this role.
