AI Product Designer

About the role

We are looking for a senior product designer who knows AI tools and can build prototypes quickly. You will work with the developers who build custom software and prototypes for AI projects. You will work directly with clients to understand what their product owners want, then turn that into designs and prototypes people can use and test. This is a contract-to-hire role.

We expect it to become permanent for the right person.

• Meet with clients and product owners to learn their goals, their users, and their problems.
• Turn business needs into user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
• Use AI design tools, for example Claude Design and Figma, to produce designs and prototypes quickly.
• Use Git to store, share, and manage design files with the development team.
• Work closely with developers so the built product matches the design.
• Run user research and usability tests, and use what you learn to improve the design.
• Design user experiences for AI features: chat interfaces, agents, and automated workflows.
• Present designs to clients and explain your decisions clearly.
• Help build and maintain design standards and reusable components.

• 5 or more years in UX design or product design.
• A portfolio that shows your process, not only finished screens.
• Strong Figma skills.
• Experience with AI design and prototyping tools, for example Claude Design.
• Working knowledge of Git: commit, branch, pull request.
• Solid grounding in UX principles, user research, and usability testing.
• Experience working directly with clients or product owners.
• Clear written and spoken communication.
• Able to work remotely and manage your own time.

• Experience designing AI products, chat interfaces, or agent workflows.
• Basic HTML, CSS, or front-end knowledge.
• Experience at a consulting company or agency.
• Experience building or maintaining design systems.
