JOB POSTING
Spend only 1-2 hours a week and provide your expertise in Gastroenterology by conducting Utilization Reviews in the Utilization Management/Peer Review process. A current Indiana medical license is required (or current ‘Letter of Qualification’ from the IMLC).
Medical Review Institute of America, LLC (MRIoA) is a national Independent Review Organization (IRO), who facilitates the review of medical claims to determine treatment appropriateness; known as Peer Review or Utilization Review.
IS REVIEW WORK FOR ME?
- Are you interested in staying informed of changes and knowing what treatments are being utilized by other Gastroenterologists?
- Are you interested in learning more about how to get your own patient’s treatment approved?
- Most MRIoA reviewers average 1-2 hours per week, however, there are no minimum expectations.
- Cases typically take 30-60 minutes to complete.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- You will be covered under MRIoA’s Errors and Omissions policy (traditional Malpractice Insurance is not applicable for review work)
- Work anywhere within the USA (Per HIPAA Regulations patient records cannot leave the US).
- Non-employed Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be an MD or DO, Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Must have 5 years of patient care experience in Gastroenterology
- Must have solid computer navigation skill
- Must have an unrestricted Indiana state medical licensure, or current ‘Letter of Qualification’ issued from the IMLC.
- Must be a US Citizen or hold a Green Card (we are unable to sponsor a VISA)
