Psychiatry Private Practice: PMHNP or MD

Mending Mental Health is in need of adding a psychiatric provider to our collective. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves their independence but also thrives in an efficient, professional environment. Our structure is designed to build a full caseload over time. The current need would be taking on 3-5 intakes a week (depending on how much time you can offer and your specialty).

Mending MH has an internal team to handle administrative, operational, and some clinical support for providers, to make each day sustainable and efficient. We proudly take all insurances.

Mending's niche includes thorough, supportive ADHD treatment, along with a variety of psychiatric and sleep needs. We are looking for a provider who enjoys working with ADHD and is open to learning and integrating newer treatment approaches over time.

• Primarily remote work from your home office

This role is best suited for someone who understands what it means to have a private practice. It requires ownership, consistency, and commitment. Private practice can sound demanding, but it is incredibly rewarding when done well.

Mending Mental Health is an excellent fit for someone who can:

• Provide confident outpatient psychiatric care, including prescribing controlled medications when clinically appropriate
• Maintain clear and consistent documentation - closing notes within 1-2 days of appointments
• Check the EHR Clinical Inbox M-F (excluding holidays) for messages or refills and respond to internal emails
• Preserve a reliable presence for scheduled appointments
• Enjoy being on a collaborative team while maintaining clinical independence
• Demonstrate strong communication habits and consistent responsiveness
• Open to learning about newer medication and treatment approaches

You get to build your own schedule. We like to have a new provider add 1 day/week at a time. This way you become confident with the new system without stagnation or gaps, and get a feel for the compensation model (which you’ll love). If you have a private practice right now that isn’t exactly your dream, this is also an opportunity to bring patients into a fully supportive environment so you can have that freedom that you dreamed of when deciding to work for yourself.

Compensation is based on actual collections rather than projected estimates, allowing more earning than typical presented with split models. Providers receive clear reporting each pay-period for full transparency. Our split is 65/35, which for you would equal about $170-300/hour take-home, depending on how you schedule, bill, and the payer. It can be more than this, but not typically less.

Example: 30 appts/week = appx $150k/year. (not 30 hours, 30 appts)

Mending MH is a proud owner of low A/R, with 99.3% of claims completely paid! Credentialing takes about 30+ days, depending on your current insurance panel.
