Job Summary
The Department of Radiology at University of Colorado Denver seeks a full‑time radiologist and faculty member in the Breast Imaging Section. We welcome candidates at any career stage, from Sr. Instructor to Full Professor.
The department offers two career pathways:
- Clinical Practice Track
Exclusive focus on clinical work with no research expectations.
Productivity‑based compensation plan.
Excellent track record obtaining J1 waivers. - Academic/Tenure‑eligible Track
Focus on clinical, teaching, and research missions.
Academic faculty are incentive eligible.
Excellent track record obtaining J1 waivers.

Job Information- Interpretation of screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Breast MRI examinations
- Performance and interpretation of breast sonograms
- Performance of all breast imaging‑guided breast procedures (mammographic, stereotactic, tomosynthesis, ultrasound‑ and MRI‑guided needle biopsies; wire and Savi Scout localizations; drainages and ductography)
All typical breast imaging equipment is available, including digital mammography with tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, and MRI. The Breast Section and the Department of Radiology are recognized as an ACR Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Anchor provider at a primary site with occasional coverage of other Denver Metro sites.
- Participation and collaboration through interdisciplinary conferences.
- Participation in fellow and resident education.
- Regular interaction with referring providers.
- Onsite at Aurora, CO (expected onsite).
- Hybrid schedule available with the ability to read from home and hospital as scheduled.
- Remote work permitted only if employee is located in the United States.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Licensed MD or DO from an accredited U.S. institution or equivalent; must be A eligible or certified, and possess a Colorado license at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Subspecialty fellowship training.
- Experience working with multiple clinical specialties.

Skills and Abilities
- Interpretation of radiology imaging studies and procedures.
- Competency in basic radiology procedures.
Open Track – Selected candidates will be offered the opportunity to choose a track that corresponds to their area of excellence.
Anticipated Pay Range- Sr. Instructor: $500,000 – $650,000
- Assistant Professor: $500,000 – $650,000
- Associate Professor: $500,000 – $650,000
- Professor: $500,000 – $650,000
Compensation is based on a productivity model which may exceed the range above. Total compensation includes generous leave, health plans, and retirement contributions (up to $35,000 per year). The above range is a reasonable estimate of the possible compensation rtime compensation is not provided unless the position is non‑exempt.
