Your role and environmentBased at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Radford, VA, you’ll provide consultation-liaison psychiatry services across medical and surgical units, supported by:
- A 110-bed hospital with 32 inpatient psychiatry beds
- A robust outpatient psychiatry clinic and OBOT program
- System-wide telemedicine reach across seven hospitals, including rural and critical access sites
- Dedicated mental health care coordinators and a 24/7 call center
- A distinct 24/7 Emergency Psychiatry team that covers all Emergency Departments
- Access to specialized services like Interventional Psychiatry, Brain Injury Medicine, and Geriatric Psychiatry
- Fellowship training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry or
- Combined training (IM-Psychiatry, FP-Psychiatry, or similar) or
- Significant (2+ years) experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry
