Locum Jobs Online is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Internal Medicine MD in Dallas, Texas, 75201!
Are you a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a passion for managed care, utilization management, and population health? This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership-focused role where your clinical expertise directly impacts care quality, access, and outcomes for a large member population.
This 13-week locum assignment begins 100% remote, with the intention to transition into a permanent hybrid leadership role.

- Clinical leadership role influencing policy, quality, and utilization decisions
- Collaborative environment working with executive leadership, pharmacy, and multidisciplinary teams
- Opportunity to shape evidence-based care, value-based outcomes, and process improvement
- Review and determine prior authorizations, appeals, and medical necessity
- Conduct peer-to-peer discussions to support utilization management
- Provide clinical oversight for UM, disease management, quality initiatives, and pharmacy collaboration
- Participate in medical policy development, clinical guidelines, and provider performance reviews
- Support fraud, waste, and abuse programs
- Lead or participate in managed care committees and process improvement initiatives
- Represent the organization in state and local clinical activities when assigned
- Oversee clinical workflows, goals, budgets, and staff development
- Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Active Texas medical license or willingness to obtain
- Strong background in managed care & prior authorization
- Familiarity with Texas Medicaid regulations
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
- Enjoy applying clinical knowledge to system-level decisions
- Thrive in leadership, policy, and quality-focused roles
- Are detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and patient-centered
- Want to grow into a long-term medical leadership position
