In cooperation with other members of the department clinical staff, an Ochsner Staff Physician will provide and coordinate patient care by abiding by Ochsner s core values of Patients First, Integrity, Compassion, Inclusivity, Teamwork and Excellence and The Responsibilities of the Professional Staff
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat neurological diseases and disorders.
- Develop a plan of care for each patient, including complete medical history, physician examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral.
- Stress the importance of preventative health care measures.
- Use all available resources in diagnosis and treatment in an appropriate and cost-efficient manner.
- Confer with consulting physicians, nurses, patients and patients families concerning treatment and care of patients.
- Takes neurological On-Call coverage on an equal rotation basis with practice peers.
- Refer those cases that require specialist services while maintaining responsibility to assure that continuity of care is provided.

Qualifications- Education Required: M.D. or D.O.
- Licensure: License to practice medicine in Louisiana.
- Other Requirements: Completion of a neurology residency.
