We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Day Hospitalist to join our team at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital (SRMH). SRMH is a 238-bed, not-for-profit community hospital located in Harrisonburg, Virginia. It serves as a regional healthcare hub for the Shenandoah Valley, providing a wide range of services including advanced cardiovascular care, cancer treatment, surgical services, women’s health, and a Level III trauma center.

Role Summary The Hospitalist Physician provides inpatient medical care to the adult patient population, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support quality, safety, and efficient patient flow.

Shifts:

182 Annual Shifts, 7a-7pSchedule Model: 7 on / 7 off, block

Admissions:
Rotational and evenly distributed amongst all providers

No procedures required ICU Model:
Open with critical care support in person 7a-7p, eICU remote support from 7p-7aVent management support by critical care team

Care Model Patient Census:
Average Daily Census 16

APP Support:
Yes, dedicated APP for PASS Clinic and Ortho Patients, Dedicated Observation APP, Dedicated daytime and swing admitting APPs, and Dedicated night/floor call APPQualificationsMD or DOBoard Certified or Eligible (IM or FM), Certification must be obtained within 5 years of eligibility
