Compass of Hope Counseling is seeking a collaborative, experienced Psychiatrist (MD/DO or a highly experienced PMHNP) to serve as our Medical Director
. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys mentoring psychiatric providers, supporting quality clinical care, and helping shape a growing behavioral health organization—without carrying a traditional full patient caseload.
This position is offered either part time with the potential for fully remote work or full time in the office, and provides clinical oversight for our psychiatric medication management team while working closely with agency leadership to ensure exceptional standards of patient care, provider development, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do- Provide clinical oversight and supervision for our team of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs).
- Facilitate a weekly group supervision and case consultation meeting.
- Serve as an ongoing clinical resource for psychiatric providers through phone, email, and text consultation.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to promote high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical policy development.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and mentoring psychiatric providers.
- Provide input and guidance regarding provider performance, coaching, and disciplinary processes when appropriate.
- Support compliance with state regulations, professional standards, and best practices.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive culture focused on continuous learning and clinical excellence.
- MD or DO with completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency, OR highly experienced PMHNP
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Active unrestricted medical license and DEA in New Hampshire (willingness to obtain licensure in MA and ME)
- Experience supervising or collaborating with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
- Passion for supporting clinicians and improving patient outcomes.
- Comfortable providing consultation remotely through virtual meetings, phone, email, and secure messaging.
Dependent on full time or part time status, credentials and experience.
