Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG) is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist to join our established regional Pediatric Cardiology program serving Los Angeles Medical Center (LAMC) and Panorama City Medical Center (PC).
This position is administratively home-based at Los Angeles Medical Center and practices within a collaborative Los Angeles/Panorama City service model designed to provide timely access, high-quality care, and seamless coordination across the Kaiser Permanente Pediatric Care (KPPC) network. The physician will work closely with pediatric cardiology colleagues across Southern California and participate in shared governance, regional conferences, and multidisciplinary care delivery.
LAMC is home to one of the Western United States' leading pediatric congenital cardiac interventional programs and serves as a tertiary pediatric referral center within the KPPC network. Our comprehensive pediatric cardiac program includes fetal cardiology, advanced cardiac imaging, inpatient consultation services, and close collaboration with regional subspecialty teams. The position also supports Pediatric Cardiology services in Panorama City through an integrated regional care model.
PositionHighlights
- Outpatient Pediatric Cardiology consultations and longitudinal follow-up care
- Predominantly ambulatory clinic practice supporting Panorama City and Los Angeles service areas
- Interpretation of transthoracic and fetal echocardiograms
- Participation in inpatient pediatric cardiology consultations
- Shared weekday, weekend, holiday, and vacation call coverage within the Los Angeles/Valleys subregional Pediatric Cardiology group
- Physician-to-physician consultation through telephone and electronic advice platforms
- Participation in multidisciplinary conferences and regional pediatric cardiology meetings
- Opportunity for mentorship, teaching, and support of Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine learners
- Collaboration with an experienced regional Pediatric Cardiology team committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and member-centered care
The physician's responsibilities include ambulatory clinic care, echocardiography interpretation, inpatient consultative services primarily at Pan City, and shared call responsibilities. Clinical templates and practice standards are aligned across the Los Angeles and Panorama City service areas to optimize patient access and quality outcomes.
