Advent Health is seeking board-certified Critical Care Physicians for a full-time, remote Tele-ICU role. This position involves providing critical care services through advanced telemedicine technology to critically ill patients across multiple Advent Health ICUs during overnight shifts (7 PM - 7 AM). The physician will collaborate closely with bedside clinicians to ensure exceptional patient care and outcomes within a faith-based healthcare organization.
Practice Info
- Fully remote role covering multiple Advent Health hospital locations across Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Kansas, Illinois, Texas, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.
- Innovative Tele-ICU team utilizing advanced telemedicine technology.
- Collaboration with on-site intensivists, hospitalists, nurses, and advanced practice providers (APPs).
Responsibilities
- Provide remote critical care consultation, management, and intervention for ICU patients.
- Collaborate effectively with on-site clinicians to create comprehensive patient care plans.
- Utilize state-of-the-art telemedicine platforms for real-time patient assessments, management, and documentation.
- Respond promptly to rapid response events, critical changes, and emergencies.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide continuous vigilance to identify opportunities for intervention to improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records per Advent Health policies and regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in and contribute to developing telemedicine operating procedures and protocols.

Shift & Schedule
- Full-Time.
- Overnight shifts (7 PM - 7 AM).
- Work
-hour clinical shifts monthly or 180 clinical shifts yearly. - Stable night-shift schedule.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine.
- Board Certification in Neuro Critical Care Medicine (preferred).
- Active, unrestricted medical licenses in states serviced by Advent Health.
- Active, unrestricted federal Drug Enforcement Agency license.
- Minimum 5 years of bedside ICU experience.
- Telemedicine experience (preferred but not required).
- Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR), telemedicine technology, and computer skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead remotely during urgent clinical situations.
- Independent, self-motivated, and adept at collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
