Open Train is recruiting a senior dermatology reviewer to support clinical data curation and evaluation of AI models. You will apply advanced dermatology expertise to complex and ambiguous cases, help establish clinical evaluation frameworks, and provide structured feedback on model outputs. This fully remote contractor role is designed for academic dermatologists who bring rigorous clinical judgment, guideline-based reasoning, and clear documentation to clinical AI development.

You will lead senior-level clinical review on complex or ambiguous dermatology cases, facilitate structured resolution of disagreements among reviewers, and contribute to clinical evaluation frameworks. You will provide guideline-aligned commentary, subspecialty consultation, and advisory input on AI model outputs. You will document clinically defensible conclusions, support consensus among reviewers, follow project protocols, and disclose relevant conflicts of interest.

Candidates should hold a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above at an accredited US medical school or academic medical center. Required qualifications include board certification in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, an active medical license in good standing in at least one US state, active clinical practice, and at least three years after residency completion. Candidates should demonstrate strong written articulation of clinical reasoning, the ability to lead and document clinical consensus, deep familiarity with current dermatology guidelines, and comfort working with graphic medical images and clinically complex cases.

Subspecialty fellowship training in dermatopathology, Mohs or procedural dermatology, pediatric dermatology, or complex medical dermatology is valuable. Peer-reviewed dermatology publications, journal peer review, IRB or research committee service, experience teaching residents or fellows, specialty society involvement, and prior clinical AI evaluation, digital health, or dermatology AI research are also relevant.

This is a fully remote, asynchronous independent contractor engagement with occasional synchronous calls. The project duration is four weeks, with an anticipated average workload of 15 hours per week and up to 40 hours per week during peak batches. Compensation is paid per task, with the amount determined by experience, academic standing, and clinical expertise.
