Join a well-established private practice with Abrazo Health as a remote overnight radiologist in Phoenix, AZ. This 1099 contractor role offers a highly compressed schedule of 7 days on and 14 days off with no call responsibilities. You will read primarily high-acuity ER and inpatient exams with competitive per-RVU compensation and a sign-on bonus.
Practice Info
- Well-established private practice serving the Abrazo Health System in the Phoenix metropolitan area
- Read mostly ER and inpatient exams across Abrazo facilities
- Group consists of 8 full-time equivalent radiologists and 15 per diem providers with support from 1 Physician Assistant
- Subspecialties represented include Neuro, MSK, Body, Emergency Imaging, Pediatrics, and Nuclear Medicine
- Credentialing across 3 offices covering Abrazo West, Arrowhead, Central, Scottsdale, and Heart hospitals
- Full home reading station provided by the group utilizing Sectra PACS and Powerscribe 360
Responsibilities
- Read primarily ER and inpatient exams across Abrazo facilities during overnight hours
- Handle approximately 13 wRVUs per hour, translating to approximately 110 wRVUs per shift
- Optionally pick up additional daytime or evening shifts
Compensation
- Competitive per-RVU compensation
- $30,000 sign-on bonus if temporary privileges are obtained before 5/10/2026 and you cover 10 or more shifts between 5/10 and 5/31/2026
- Opportunity to supplement income with daytime and evening shifts at negotiated rates

Shift & Schedule
- Contractor/1099 employment type
- Fully remote opportunity
- Overnight hours: 11:00 p.m.
- 7:30 a.m. AZ time - 7 days on, 14 days off - two full weeks off between every stretch
- No call - ever, with no callback obligations outside assigned shifts
- Optional daytime shifts: 7:30 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m. - Optional evening shifts: 4:00 p.m.
- 11:00 p.m.
Requirements
- MD or DO with A board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology
- Active Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain
- Comfortable with general diagnostic radiology with an emphasis on ER and inpatient studies
- Suitable home reading environment
