Location: Louisiana
Conduct independent, evidence-based medical record reviews for foot and ankle conditions, injuries, treatments, surgical care, and functional impairment cases. Prepare concise written opinions on medical necessity, appropriateness of care, causation, outcomes, and treatment recommendations. This fully remote reviewer role is advisory only and supports objective clinical determinations without direct patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Review medical records and supporting documentation for podiatric cases
- Conduct evidence-based assessments using current clinical guidelines and standards of care
- Prepare clear, comprehensive written reports and clinical summaries
- Answer client-specific questions about diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical procedures, and functional outcomes
- Participate in peer-to-peer discussions when needed
- Assess medical necessity, appropriateness of care, causation, impairment, and treatment recommendations
- Evaluate cases involving diabetic foot care, trauma, wound care, biomechanics, and conservative management
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM)
- Current, unrestricted Louisiana podiatry license
- Minimum of 5 years of post-residency clinical experience
- Active clinical practice or recent experience in podiatric medicine and surgery
- Ability to attend required orientation and training sessions
- Maintain required licensure, certification, credentialing, and professional requirements for reviewer services
- Board Certification or Board Qualification in Podiatric Medicine and/or Surgery
- Experience evaluating foot and ankle conditions, surgical interventions, and functional impairment cases
- Fully remote work
