UConn Health Community Network
UConn Health Community Network is seeking an experienced General Radiologist to join its growing community-based radiology program. This is a fully remote position providing daytime diagnostic radiology coverage for community hospital partners and outpatient imaging sites.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Position Highlights- Fully remote practice with a UConn Health-provided PACS workstation
- Daytime weekday shifts
- Weekend daytime general radiology call
- Interpretation of STAT, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient studies
- Broad general radiology practice, including CT, radiography, ultrasound, and other modalities consistent with training
- Direct collaboration with UConn Health radiologists, community clinicians, technologists, and imaging teams
- UConn community faculty appointment
- Provide timely interpretation of STAT, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient examinations.
- Prioritize urgent studies, including trauma, stroke, and other acute presentations.
- Provide clear, actionable reports and appropriate follow-up recommendations.
- Communicate critical and unexpected findings directly to referring clinicians.
- Consult with clinicians and technologists regarding imaging findings, protocols, and appropriate imaging utilization.
- Participate in weekend daytime general radiology call.
- Participate in peer review, quality improvement, and standardization initiatives across the network.
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
- Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
- Minimum five years of post-training experience in general diagnostic radiology
- Proficiency in emergency and inpatient radiography, CT, and ultrasound
- Connecticut medical license or eligibility
- Eligibility for UConn community faculty appointment and appropriate medical staff privileges
- Ability to maintain a secure, private remote reading environment with high-speed internet connectivity
- Ability to participate in weekend daytime call
Fellowship training, emergency radiology experience, and prior teleradiology or community-based practice are preferred.
