Job Overview2 Hour Learning has built a system that enables students to achieve learning outcomes twice as quickly in just two hours per day through AI‑driven tutoring, mastery‑based progression, and a fundamental shift away from traditional classroom models. The Director of Learning Strategy will lead the academic strategy, set rigorous standards, diagnose gaps, and serve as the public advocate for the movement.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Develop academic frameworks that translate learning science into actionable guidance for curriculum design, motivation systems, and application development.
- Conduct academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to maintain alignment, accountability, and consistent results across school teams.
- Analyze data, conduct interviews, and make observations to produce academic ecosystem reviews that identify high‑impact barriers to accelerated learning and recommend targeted interventions.
- Ensure strategic alignment by establishing planning structures, feedback mechanisms, and milestone tracking that keep student learning outcomes at the center.
- Serve as the public face of 2 Hour Learning in high‑level settings—from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education—to influence global perspectives on education.
- Work on isolated curriculum initiatives that do not contribute to systemic impact.
- Produce abstract research disconnected from student outcomes or operational execution.
- Transfer accountability for performance to middle management or external consultants.
- Use brand reputation or theoretical arguments to influence skeptical audiences.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes.
- Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning.
- Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising.
- Strong performance‑management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar.
- Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions.
- Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders.
- Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high‑performing EdTech venture.
- Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts.
- Deep familiarity with Bloom’s 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks.
