Responsibilities- Full‑time, non‑tenure‑track Instructor I to join its clinical/teaching faculty.
- Primary focus on undergraduate instruction, with possible graduate‑level teaching, mentoring students, serving on committees, participating in community engagement, and acting as a liaison with clinical sites (may require travel).
- Teaching may occur across USF’s three campuses:
Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota‑Manatee. - Expected to contribute to curriculum development, service, and scholarly activities appropriate to the rank of Instructor I.
- In‑person presence during standard business hours is required; remote work option is not available.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience.
- Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor (non‑tenure earning).
Minimum Qualifications
- Hold, or be eligible for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Florida by the start date.
- Minimum of two years of direct patient care clinical experience.
- Minimum of three years of classroom and clinical teaching experience.
- Doctoral degree in Nursing (DNP or PhD).
- Preferred to individuals with a documented record of successful leadership and teaching in a higher education environment.
- A broad range of clinical knowledge and expertise in various settings or specialty areas.
- Local, state, or national leadership in a nursing professional organization.
- Strong communication and technology skills, and experience in curriculum design and evaluation of program outcomes.
This position may be subject to a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
