Mondays & Tuesdays from 9:00am-3:45pm (teaching time is 9:30am-3:30pm but teachers are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start of classes and stay until after students are picked up)

POSITION SUMMARY: Sonoran Learning Collective is a Christian, hybrid microschool serving families in the North Valley who want a flexible, relationship-centered education rooted in traditional learning methods. We are seeking a part-time Hybrid 4th Grade Teacher to lead a small class of 6–8 students (ages 9–11). Students attend in-person classes two days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays) and complete guided work at home the remainder of the week with parent support.

We use a set curriculum, allowing teachers to focus on student relationships, individualized support, and strong communication with families. This role is best described as a blend of teacher, tutor, and academic coach. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with a small group of students and partnering with parents to support learning.

• Teach core subjects using provided curriculum
• Provide individualized math instruction and academic support
• Help students build organization, focus, and independent learning skills
• Communicate weekly learning plans and progress with families
• Help students set and work toward individual academic goals

• Former or current teachers seeking a flexible, relationship-focused model
• Homeschool educators or co-op leaders
• Sunday School or church educators
• Tutors or youth program leaders

• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfort teaching in a hybrid model (two days in class, learning continues at home)
• Ability to adapt instruction to student needs
• Passion for working closely with students and families
• Commitment to teaching from a Christian worldview

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience working with children and curriculum)
• Experience working with children (school, homeschool, church, tutoring, etc.)
• Background check and fingerprint clearance required

Part-time, hourly position. $20–$22 per hour, based on experience. This role offers small class sizes (6–8 students), strong family partnership, and a highly supportive teaching environment.
