Special Educator Early Intervention

Required:

At least ONE of the following: NYS licensed/certified in Special Education, Students with Disabilities Birth-2 Initial, Professional or Permanent Special Education or expected licensure.

Thera Care is seeking dynamic NYS Certified Special Education Teachers for a comprehensive and rewarding experience providing home-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in New York City, covering the five boroughs (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, & Staten Island).

In this role, teachers will provide screening, diagnosis, and treatment to children up to 3.5 years old with various developmental delays, across settings such as homes, schools, or communities. Responsibilities include early intervention using ABA/Special Instruction techniques, collaborating with families and other service providers to meet child IFSP goals, and collecting and graphing ABA data.

Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent attention to detail in report submission, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and be capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary professionals to advocate effectively for children's needs. Willingness to travel to various service settings is required.

Qualified candidates will have at least ONE of the following: a NYS Permanent Certification in Special Education, a NYS Permanent Certification as a TSHH, a NYS Initial or Professional Certification in Students with Disabilities (Birth-2nd Grade), or a NYS Initial or Professional Certification as a TSLD, or expected licensure.
