Saint Joseph School is a parochial school of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, faithful to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church, dedicated to serving children and families by providing a Christ-centered learning environment where children grow in faith, truth, and love. We serve over 1,000 students in grades PK - 8 in Cottleville, Missouri. Our Parish relies on a dedicated team of professionals to educate our students, whether through classroom instruction or support across campus.
We are seeking a faith-filled full-time Special Education teacher for the 2026 school year. This position would have a concentration in Special Education degree preferred. Applicants must be certified in Education. Compensation will be appropriate based on degree and years of service in education based on the archdiocesan compensation schedule.
Job Responsibilities- Provide direct, small-group or individual instruction to students receiving special education or intervention services
- Implement and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications
- Conduct academic assessments and track student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies
- Develop and maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support inclusive classroom practices and co‑teaching when appropriate
- Use evidence-based instructional strategies and interventions
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Maintain a supportive, structured, and positive learning environment
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Proficiency in data collection and progress monitoring
