Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist instructor during and outside of class as needed for academic tasks.
- Answer students’ questions; support them to understand their assignments.
- Activities on MS Teams:
Monitor class channel and chat, answer students' questions during Class time and Lab Hours. Meet in person or share Maya screen during Lab Hours to show techniques. - Being patient and supportive.
- Evaluate students' Maya scenes to diagnose issues and make recommendations on steps to take. Clearly describe actions for the students to take action by themselves.
- Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked.

- You will be assigned to one single Class section to attend, plus its Lab Hours, for a total of 9 hours per week.
- 'Class' is a specific section you attend, watching and following the live lecture and monitoring students in person, in the classroom, or on its MS Teams Chat to bring questions up to the attention of the instructor in a timely fashion. When online, use your microphone and/or answer questions in writing when the answer is short. This assumes you are knowledgeable of the CG-2001 lecture plan posted on Moodle each week and are ready to support the instructor and students.
- 'Lab Hours' are blocks of times of your choosing and fitting your weekly schedule; you will be advertising those hours at the beginning of the semester. During Lab Hours, you are assumed to be available, either on campus or for video calls on MS Teams, to share screens, answer chat and email questions related to CG-2001 notions and assignments. This assumes you are knowledgeable of the CG-2001 lecture plan posted on Moodle each week and are ready to offer support directly related to the students’ current assignments.
Expected dates of employment: January 6, 2025 – April 18, 2025
Expected number of hours per week: 9
- 3 hours in Class (during lectures)
- 6 hours of Lab Hours in two blocks of 3 hours
Wage Range:
$16.28 - 17.25 per hour, depending on number of terms worked at Digi Pen
Digi Pen Student Employee Academic Requirements:
- Currently a Matriculated student at Digi Pen Institute of Technology
- Good Academic Standing – not on Academic Warning as defined in Digi Pen Course Catalog
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Have taken and passed CG-225 or CG-2001 with a B or better
Requirement Exceptions:
It is possible to still be selected for a position with Digi Pen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!
