Franklin University, a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit University located in Columbus, Ohio invites applicants for its National Community College Regional Representative position.
This Peoria, Illinois based position
will serve partner community colleges in the central and northern part of Illinois. Travel and relationship building is a key role for this position. Additionally, working with students to get them into the application process is also an essential element of the job. The National Community College Relationship Representative will be responsible for new student recruitment and onsite admissions appointments at multiple community college locations.

The position will engage in relationship development, recruiting, marketing and new student enrollment of transferring students from partner institutions with National Community College partners. In addition, this position would serve as a partnership recruiter for potential Franklin

WORKS partnerships in the region.

This role will work a remote schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new undergraduate student enrollment opportunities.
  • Understand transfer curriculum and advising methodologies.
  • Implement recruiting, marketing and communication strategies to successfully fill the funnel with inquiries/applicants to meet recruitment goals.
  • Monitor competitive activity and proactively identify Community College Alliance Partner needs.
  • Promote the value of Franklin’s educational programs to Community College Alliance Partner faculty and staff.
  • Initiate, develop and enhance relationships with community college faculty and staff to increase new student recruitment opportunities and referrals.
  • Implement strategic engagement plans and tactics for community college partners that align with Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and University goals. Traveling to partnerships is a regular part of this position and a University vehicle will be provided.
  • Manage undergraduate student leads through our Community College Alliance Pathway Portal and internal CRM.
  • Maintain strong strategic relationships with others in the University.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
Minimum Requirements /Qualifications
  • Proven ability to develop new relationships contributing to meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Strong computer (proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Zoom & TEAMS) and analytical skills.
  • Strong phone, virtual and interpersonal communication skills (professional, persuasive, and confident).
  • Strong record of accomplishment of goal achievement and student satisfaction.
  • High energy and motivation.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, time management and follow-through.
  • Ability to be a team player within the entire department.
  • Demonstrated experience with leveraging a CRM tool to guide day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to successfully interface and communicate with a diverse audience.
  • Have an adaptive and opportunistic mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Present a professional image, including dress, communication and ethics.
  • Presents a positive and goal-oriented demeanor.
  • Appreciation and understanding for higher education.
  • Have a customer-focused approach.
Preferred Skills and Characteristics
  • The position requires business hour operations that may include additional evening or Saturday work to facilitate special events when needed.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory motor vehicle report both of which must be maintained throughout the duration of employment.
