Begin your career helping Grand Canyon University students succeed! We are looking for a motivated Account Executive to oversee this territory in this unique community‑based opportunity. Starting salary is $75,000 per year with an earning potential of a six‑figure income after five years of successful service as an Account Executive/University Development Counselor.

New Hire Training

New hire training will be held in‑person at our Phoenix, AZ campus.

Typical Week as an Account Executive
  • Strategic execution: consistently identify and implement event/activity plans for your territory, build awareness of our online academic programs for education, healthcare and business, and drive inquiry generation. Shape high‑impact partnerships and execute daily work through informational presentations, calls and emails, iterating as needed to maximize value.
  • Partner and influencer: serve as a counselor to prospective students, their families and partners via in‑person, phone or email, championing the GCE mission and promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
  • Heart and Hustle: this community‑based role has ambitious targets. Working independently, use your out‑of‑the‑box critical thinking skills to support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process, guiding them toward a successful online learning experience.
The Role Might Be Right for You If You Have:
  • A bachelor’s degree preferred. No delinquent or defaulted federal student loan; if in rehabilitation program, credit report must reflect current, non‑delinquent status.
  • Outstanding time‑management skills. Wear many hats and prioritize competing priorities even while traveling.
  • Clear communication skills. Explain just about anything to anyone and communicate comfortably in person, in writing and on the phone. Demonstrated listening skills.
  • Self‑motivation and drive to succeed. Volunteer for new challenges without being asked, and take ownership of your time with Grand Canyon University students.
  • High emotional intelligence. Coach a diverse range of Grand Canyon University students, each with unique circumstances. Demonstrate empathy.
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and a flexible schedule. Extensive travel in your territory requires a clean driving record and personal vehicle. Some events may require evening or weekend availability.
  • Computer literacy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
