Schedule: Full-time, exempt
Location: Remote, United States
Travel required: Approximately 30-40 days/year
Salary: $68,000 annually

Responsibilities Professional Learning & Coaching
- Design and deliver high‑quality professional learning experiences for high school science teachers, with emphasis on inquiry‑based and authentic research practices.
- Provide ongoing instructional coaching, feedback, and support for teachers participating in STEM Learning Institute programs.
- Facilitate teacher check‑ins to foster a professional community, share best practices, and address challenges.
- Collaborate with STEM Learning Institute team and partners to develop high school science instructional materials that align with standards and promote authentic STEM learning.
- Contribute expertise in science pedagogy, particularly chemistry, to ensure instructional materials are rigorous, engaging, and accessible.
- Pilot and refine instructional materials through field testing and feedback from teachers and students.
- Support the Director and other team members in program implementation and logistics.
- Document outcomes and provide input to the Research & Evaluation team for continuous improvement.
- Represent the STEM Learning Institute at conferences, workshops, and partner meetings as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, science education, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience teaching high school science.
- Demonstrated success leading teacher professional learning or providing instructional coaching.
- Strong knowledge of inquiry‑based and student‑centered instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Master’s degree in science education, curriculum & instruction, or related discipline.
- Expertise in chemistry teaching and curriculum.
- Experience developing instructional materials for high school STEM courses.
- Working knowledge of contemporary understanding of science education including the Framework for K‑12 Science Education and Next Generation Science Standards.
- Familiarity with program evaluation or data‑informed instructional improvement.
