The University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) is seeking a Your Pace Academic Success Coach to support undergraduate and graduate students in the Your Pace program. This student‑centered role focuses on proactive outreach, academic progress monitoring, and enrollment support while serving as a key liaison between students, faculty, and campus partners.
The Academic Success Coach assists students in navigating university systems, policies, and technology, supports accurate academic records, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to promote retention and timely degree completion.
Work is conducted in a collaborative environment, with remote, hybrid, or in‑person work options determined in consultation with the successful candidate. Occasional travel to campus may be required for training or events. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST and will require some nights and weekends.

The salary for this full‑time job is $45,300.00. The university will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion depending on skills and experience. Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree and/or three to five years of experience in a professional setting.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Customer service, sales, or client relations
- Education, including admissions, tutoring, advising, or counseling
- Experience requiring regular written and verbal communication.
- Experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Proficiency with computers and standard workplace software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Experience using virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom).
- For remote work arrangements, the selected candidate must provide proof of a stable and reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps. Hotspots are not acceptable for this position. Employees approved for remote or hybrid work will also be required to complete a Remote Work Agreement Form annually.

- Professional judgment and discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
- Five or more years of experience in a professional or educational setting.
- Experience working with adult learners.
- Familiarity with University of Maine systems and technologies, including Maine Street and educational platforms such as Brightspace.
