In a typical week, you'll conduct high-impact intervention sessions. The remainder, you'll facilitate brief motivational check-ins that keep students aligned and reaching milestones. This position fits individuals who value independence, immediate feedback, and visible results. It's not for those seeking a rigid script or who avoid working with data.

• Create and facilitate virtual small-group and individual reading intervention sessions for students in grades 3–8
• Leverage reading assessment data to identify fluency and comprehension deficits and modify instruction swiftly
• Adapt activities across varied reading levels, including accommodations for dyslexia and associated reading challenges
• Monitor progress through clear, systematic methods and apply the findings to inform upcoming sessions
• Conduct structured motivational check-ins that foster confidence, perseverance, and pride in advancement

• Deliver large, whole‑class lessons or present material from a rigid curriculum
• Implement a pre‑scripted program without responding to student needs and live feedback
• Serve as a passive "software monitor" lacking meaningful teaching and rapport
• Depend on superficial incentives that fail to cultivate enduring motivation

Take ownership of outcomes for grades 3–8—quantifiable improvements in fluency and comprehension—by providing tailored virtual interventions and motivational guidance that strengthens confidence.

• Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or a closely related field
• Reading intervention certification or endorsement (e.g., Arizona Reading Specialist K‑12 or equivalent state certification)
• Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or related structured literacy approaches)
• At least 2 years of experience delivering small‑group or one‑on‑one reading interventions for students in grades 3–8
• Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties
• Ability to interpret progress monitoring data and use it to plan and adjust instruction
• Strong ability to engage and manage students in a virtual setting through clear, motivating communication
• Full‑time availability during U.S. business hours (Monday–Friday; 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. PT)

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
