You Will Be Doing
- Deliver professional training courses and workshops to State of Alaska employees using a variety of instructional techniques in both in-person and virtual environments. Courses include our flagship Supervisory Academy for new supervisors, Workplace Civility Training, and other HR-related offerings.
- Partner with departments statewide to scope, design, and deliver customized trainings such as team-specific sessions, values development, team-building workshops, and leadership seminars.
- Create engaging SCORM-based learning content that is immersive and interactive, allowing learners to practice new skills through applied activities and knowledge checks.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the Statewide Learning Management System (LMS), including creating training for users at all levels, developing and implementing an administrator manual, running reports, and analyzing learning data.

Minimum Qualifications
Competencies required include:
- Communications and Media – Knowledge of producing, communicating, and distributing information via written, oral, and visual media.
- Education and Training – Knowledge of teaching, training, research, and instructional methods.
- Employee Development – Understanding of employee development concepts and practices.
- Interpersonal Skills – Ability to build effective relationships and manage diverse and challenging interactions.
This position requires frequent travel within the State of Alaska (normally up to one week at a time, with possible up to two‑week assignments).
