New Way Academy is an independent, K-12 day school in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities- Deliver instruction to high school classes of up to 12 students in the subject area assigned, adapting curriculum to meet the needs of each group throughout the day
- Differentiate instruction to remediate what students need to learn and push them to rigorous content understanding
- Integrate best practices by providing students with accommodations and modifications based on their learning needs
- Maintain and utilize accurate and up-to-date data regarding student achievement
- Empower students through high expectations, consistent routines, and strategies for success
- Contribute to the drafting of each student’s quarterly report outlining their academic and social progress
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with parents, students, and colleagues
- Work collaboratively with the other level and content teams

- Ability to occasionally move items 30 lbs. across the campus
- Effectively deals with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts
- Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions
- New Way requires employees to be physically present on campus, with limited exceptions that are at the sole discretion of the School. Under extraordinary circumstances, some or all of the workforce may be required to move to a remote working environment. Additionally, certain individuals may also be approved for limited remote work, based on the nature of the job description, specific circumstances, and only with written prior approval by a direct supervisor.
Certificate, and Requirements
- Holds valid and up-to-date teaching certificate in Arizona
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a preferred emphasis on special education
- Previous teaching experience, preferably at a high school level
- Competitive compensation based on experience in a range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year
