Job SummaryThe Program Supervisor I (PS I) is the on‑site lead of a Think Together specialized program (e.g., High Dosage Tutoring, Accelerators, Yard Duty Supervisors, etc.) operated on a partner school campus. The PS I is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day program operations at a single site, ensuring safety, quality, and alignment with organizational and school district guidelines. This role supports a positive student experience and fosters effective communication with school staff, parents, and internal team members.
The PS I directly supervises site‑level program staff, manages student attendance and data, and serves as the primary liaison between Think Together and the school community. The position requires hands‑on coordination of daily logistics and a strong focus on student engagement, program quality, and staff support. Program schedules may include after‑school hours and non‑instructional days (e.g., summer, spring, and winter breaks).
- Supervise successful day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring consistent and ethical interactions aligned with Think Together’s mission and values.
- Directly oversee and support site‑level staff, providing coaching, reinforcing training, and ensuring consistent implementation of routines, strategies, and behavior expectations.
- Ensure student safety and a positive experience; maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students and staff, respond to incidents promptly, and follow safety protocols.
- Participate in staff hiring and performance management: interview, onboard, coach, and manage performance, making recommendations regarding training, discipline, and termination per HR policies.
- Accurately track student attendance and enrollment, maintain complete and timely program records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with Think Together and district policies.
- Serve as the primary on‑site contact for school personnel, parents, and other stakeholders; maintain regular communication with the school principal and faculty to align goals and address student needs.
- Monitor student participation, behavior, and learning outcomes; use data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Meet required program metrics and deliverables.
- Ensure timely submission of staff timecards and accurate timekeeping.
- Attend required virtual or in‑person meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
- Step into direct service roles when needed to support program continuity; fulfill other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) highly preferred.
- Combination of education and experience related to the position, such as 1–2 years of experience working in education/youth programs.
- At least 1+ year in a supervisory position required; 2+ years highly preferred.
- Previous classroom experience required; must meet the minimum qualifications set by the partner district for a classroom instructional aide.
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, school staff and faculty, both verbally and in writing.
- Bilingual/ Bicolateral (Spanish) may apply in some districts.
- Excellent program management skills, demonstrated record of completing tasks on time.
- CPR/First Aid certified or ability to obtain within first 60 days of hire.
- Satisfactory TB skin test.
- Passing background check (DOJ & FBI).
- Strong leadership and team‑building skills in a school or youth development setting.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff, students, school partners, and families.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Comfort with public speaking and giving direction.
