The Instructional Design Director provides strategic leadership for the design, development, and implementation of learning programs and instructional content that support organizational goals, workforce development, and performance improvement. This role oversees instructional design strategy, leads a team of learning professionals, and ensures the delivery of high‑quality learning solutions across digital, virtual, and blended learning environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and execution of enterprise‑wide instructional design strategies and learning initiatives
Oversee the creation of e‑learning, instructor‑led training, blended learning, and digital learning experiences
Manage and mentor instructional designers, learning developers, and training specialists
Establish standards, frameworks, and quality guidelines for learning design and content development
Partner with executive leadership, HR, and business stakeholders to identify learning needs and priorities
Drive innovation in instructional design methodologies, technologies, and learner engagement strategies
Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and vendor relationships
Monitor learning effectiveness through analytics, assessments, and performance metrics
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards, learning regulations, and organizational policies
Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, Human Resources, or a related field
8–12 years of experience in instructional design or learning & development, including leadership experience
Proven experience managing large‑scale learning programs and instructional design teams
Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.), and learning technologies
Experience with LMS platforms, e‑learning authoring tools, and virtual learning environments
Excellent strategic planning, project management, and leadership skills
Strong written, verbal, and executive‑level communication abilities
Ability to lead cross‑functional collaboration in a remote work environment
Preferred QualificationsMasters degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Organizational Development, or related field
Experience in corporate learning, higher education, or enterprise training programs
Certifications in instructional design, learning technology, or project management
Familiarity with data‑driven learning analytics and performance measurement
CompensationAnnual Salary Range: $140,000 – $185,000 USD
, based on experience, leadership scope, and geographic location
