NC State University Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) is a unit of the Division of Academic and Student Affairs located in Talley Student Union. - Our programs and services center on leadership development, academic enrichment, education, mentorship, and student support.
The Summer Graduate Programming Intern will play a vital role in supporting summer programming initiatives, student engagement, and curriculum development for leadership and professional development programs. The intern will work closely with staff and students to enhance the summer experience through event planning, mentorship, and community-building efforts. The intern will help to actualize the goals of increasing student success and belonging through culturally relevant activities that are welcoming and open to all students from all backgrounds, cultures and identities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the planning and execution of the Annual Symposium for Multicultural Scholars, including logistics, speaker coordination, assessment strategies, and participant engagement.
* Develop and assist in the planning of the annual Cultural Immersion Trip, ensuring a meaningful and educational experience for students.
* Contribute to the planning of the Celebrating Cultures & Community initiative, developing programming that fosters engagement of all members of our NC State Community.
* Assist with the Peer Mentor and Professional Development (Pro Devo) Series Curricular Development, designing engaging content that enhances student leadership and career readiness.
* Participate in tabling for Summer Orientation, providing information and resources to incoming students about the department.
* Support the facilitation of Summer Start Programs to help students transition successfully into the institution.
* Assist in creating engaging social media posts, stories, and visual content tailored to each platform's audience.

This role requires multi-day in-person on-site work at the Raleigh campus of NC State and is not available for remote work.
