Position: BSW Adjunct Faculty Pool 2026-27: Portland Campus and BSW Online Program Option (External)
Established in 2008, the PSU BSW Program is the only CSWE accredited undergraduate social work degree offered in a public institution of higher education in Oregon. PSU's BSW Program emphasizes critical thinking, innovative pedagogy, anti-oppressive, equity-aligned, and transformative social work practice. Instructors who demonstrate an interest in and ability to realize the mission, values, and vision of the SSW and the BSW program are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those with knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to racial equity, healing-centered liberation and abolitionary practices, decolonizing and indigenizing, transformative and restorative justice, and critical, anti-oppressive, and social justice-oriented frameworks.

This position is open to instructors interested in teaching in Portland, Oregon, and/or in our online (asynchronous) program. Our greatest need is a more robust pool of adjuncts teaching in-person, on campus in Portland. Each academic year, there is a need to hire adjunct faculty to teach. While there is no guarantee that a course you are interested in and qualified to teach is available, we often seek qualified instructors to teach across the curriculum who have experience and/or a strong interest in working with the communities in the state of Oregon and its surrounding areas.

The BSW Program will collect applications on an ongoing basis to fill vacancies throughout the academic year. Review of applications occurs as new sections or instructors are needed.
