Within the department, the Coordinator oversees scholarship lifecycle management-from fund categorization and application configuration to awarding, disbursement, and quality assurance. Responsibilities include managing applicant pools, supporting scholarship committees, coordinating system testing and training, maintaining Banner and scholarship platform accuracy, monitoring acceptance and over award risks, and providing data-driven recommendations to improve award rates and reduce un-awardable funds. The position plays a key role in sustaining a scalable, compliant, and student-centered scholarship operation.
To thrive in this role, an individual must be highly organized, systems-oriented, and comfortable managing complex scholarship processes across multiple partners. Success depends on strong collaboration and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate fund agreements and enrollment priorities into accurate system configuration. A proactive, data-driven approach to identifying risks, improving processes, and supporting timely, equitable awarding is essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Position Details:
This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
