What You’ll Do as a Local Coordinator- Recruit and support host families interested in welcoming an international student.
- Guide families through the approval process and provide orientations.
- Serve as a mentor for students and host families throughout the school year.
- Build relationships with local high schools to facilitate student placements.
- Encourage student engagement through volunteer activities.
- ✅ Passionate about cultural exchange and community-building
- ✅ Skilled at networking and relationship-building
- ✅ Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- ✅ Comfortable using social media for outreach
- ✅ Experienced in mentoring youth (a plus!)
- Department: J-1 High School Programs
- Start Date: Immediately
- Location: Remote/Work from Home (occasional local travel required)
- Compensation: Competitive placement payments + potential for generous bonuses
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Reliable internet access and home office setup.
- Completion of a Department of State certification test (Greenheart provides training).
