Online Teaching, Tutoring
You've conquered difficult challenges. Now apply that expertise where it matters most: with talented students preparing to compete, qualify, and succeed.
GT School serves families seeking more than satisfactory report cards. We develop gifted students through authentic challenges: national and international contests, transparent results, and accomplishments that follow students into their futures. This position exists because our mathematics curriculum succeeds only when students emerge from sessions more capable, more confident, and competition-ready.
This is not a standard tutoring position. You will facilitate live online workshops designed to challenge exceptional students, provide focused contest preparation for competitions such as AMC and AIME, and develop reusable resources that elevate standards across GT Anywhere and GT locations. If you excel at transforming natural ability into documented performance and can communicate sophisticated concepts with precision, this role will suit you well.
If you possess a demonstrated history of mathematical excellence and wish to help develop the next generation of champions, we want to speak with you.
What You Will Be Doing- Plan and conduct 2–4 live online domain workshops weekly that develop competition-standard reasoning skills
- Provide 1:1 or small-group coaching for particular contests through mock examinations, timed exercises, and thorough analysis
- Identify weaknesses quickly and develop individualized advancement plans aligned with each student's objectives and scheduled competitions
- Monitor development using a defined mathematics progression framework and modify teaching methods based on data
- Produce original, challenging problem collections and flexible instructional materials that other teachers can deploy broadly
- Conduct general homework assistance or grade-focused tutoring lacking defined, quantifiable results
- Deliver conventional classroom-format instruction limited to the standard curriculum
- Provide unorganized problem practice without strategy, assessment mechanisms, or competitive preparation pathway
- Rely on borrowed or inadequate materials failing to satisfy competitive mathematics standards
Key Responsibilities
This role exists so gifted students reliably produce measurable, competition-standard mathematics outcomes that GT School can recognize and families can depend on.
Basic Requirements- Documented elite mathematics accomplishment (e.g., Olympiad medal, AIME qualification, top national ranking, or equivalent verifiable record)
- Minimum 6 months of instruction, coaching, or mentorship experience with demonstrated results
- Capacity to communicate advanced mathematics in clear, accessible language to gifted young students
- Comprehensive knowledge of mathematics competition structures, content, and preparation methods (e.g., AMC, AIME, Olympiads)
- Effective virtual instruction presence and capability to maintain student engagement through video platforms
- Availability for 5–10 hours weekly
- Dependable internet connection and professional video equipment
- Current, ongoing participation as a competitor, coach, or competition-oriented content developer
- Background creating reusable instructional libraries, problem collections, or curricula for use by other educators
- Documented student achievements including qualifications, rankings, medals, or other verified competition results
