Job DescriptionThe Mathematics Department at Syracuse University seeks to fill one Postdoctoral Scholar position, to begin between July 1, 2026 and August 16, 2026. This is a one‑year position that may be subject to renewal. More information.
Qualifications- Recent Ph.D. in a pure or applied mathematics or statistics area, with strong potential in both research and teaching.
- Preference for candidates whose research interests overlap and/or complement those of existing faculty.
- Conduct research.
- Contribute to the intellectual life of the department.
- Teach; teaching load is 9 credits (3 courses) per academic year.
- Provide at least three letters of recommendation, one addressing teaching.
- Submit a diversity statement summarizing how diversity, equity, and inclusion are demonstrated in research, teaching, and service.
