About the Role

Hey Tutor has partnered with schools in Orlando Florida to provide high-impact, in-person tutoring to 6th-8th grade students. Applicants must have completed an Associate’s degree or higher, or be currently enrolled in college.

We are hiring Math and ELA Tutors to support students in grades 6th-8th during the school day. This is a great opportunity for college students, aspiring educators, and education professionals looking for consistent hours, competitive pay, and meaningful work in their community.

An in-person background check is required.

• $20-$24 per hour, based on education and experience
• Attendance-based pay incentives

• Monday–Friday availability required
• Must be available between 9:30am-4:04pm EST

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required)
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred
• Comfortable tutoring k-8th Math and ELA (English Language Arts)
• Ability to manage small groups independently
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check (District Background)

• Tutor small groups of Elementary students without direct teacher supervision
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
• Create an engaging and welcoming learning environment
• Support positive student behavior and participation
• Track attendance and student progress using the Hey Tutor Dashboard
• Assist with student assessments when requested
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy
• Complete additional duties as assigned
