The Education Department Chair provides academic and administrative support within Competency Based Education. Reporting to the Associate Dean and CBE Dean, the Chair is responsible for supporting academic quality, faculty performance, operational effectiveness, and student success in alignment with institutional priorities.
This position is eligible for remote work and requires consistent virtual engagement with faculty, staff, students, and institutional leadership. This position is remote.
RequirementsJob Requirements:
- Provide support in curriculum development, assessment, and academic planning.
- Support, mentor and evaluate Adjunct faculty in accordance with institutional policies.
- Support Adjunct faculty recruitment, hiring, onboarding, coverage and retention.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, institutional policies, and applicable regulations.
- Promote student success initiatives, including at-risk outreach initiatives, and address academic concerns.
- Teaching load of 75 students.
- Additional duties as needed by the department.
- Terminal degree in the field of Education from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated leadership or administrative experience in higher education.
- Previous teaching experience at the graduate level.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills suitable for a remote environment.
